Raediance was founded in 2022 by Emily (aka emDesigns), an avid writer, journaler, and designer, because of her desire to create a blog where she could publish articles in—to put it simply—a very random manner, with no specific theme or motive behind each post.

Emily is passionate about stories. Through stories, people’s souls are touched in ways that are impossible for normal conversation and everyday speech to accomplish. Sharing stories, hearing them, and creating them are all different ways in which we can glorify our Creator. He was the one who instilled the desire in each of us to relate to one another, interact with one another, and enjoy one another. Storytelling is one way we can glorify Him and encourage one another.

On Raediance, you will find a trove of delightful stories that take many different forms: musings, thoughts, anecdotes, analyses, conversations, and memories.

Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

Psalm 34:5

The word radiant, when used to describe someone, means “clearly emanating great joy, love, or health”. True and great joy and love come from looking to Jesus—from relying on Him, rooting one’s deepest desires in Him, and becoming fully absorbed in Him. Difficult though it is, Raediance aims to strive towards these goals and achieve them through all the means He has given us. Additionally, the reason why there is an extra e in Raediance is because Rae is Emily’s middle name.
